CES is an assessment and referral system to housing resources for those who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. It is not a direct application for assistance; rather trained assessors gather information from households to assess needs and barriers to housing. Referrals are sent to providers in communities where vacancies are available.
Households can access CES through a physical access point or calling toll free 1-800-664-1349 if a physical access point is not available in their local community.

This office has a list of low income rental units in the area; these units would be available (if they have openings) to individuals and families that aren't currently on Section 8. Stop by during regular business hours to pick one up. If there are no printed lists in the lobby, please call and tell the office so they are able to resupply. Note, the properties on the list are not affiliated with Sioux Falls Housing, and SFH is not responsible for the keeping the information current. Sioux Falls Housing does not help people find housing, they just provide the list.
As of September, 2025, Sioux Falls Housing and Redevelopment Commission has closed the mod-rehab waitlist, the housing choice voucher waitlist and the Hopwa waiting list.
