The South Dakota Department of Health is offering a series of public MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccination clinics across the state. Measles is a highly contagious disease that can cause serious complications, but it is preventable through the safe and effective MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine. The intent of program benefits, such as Medicaid, is to provide assistance to South Dakotans when the benefits are not available elsewhere or the other benefits have not met all of an individual's needs. The Office of Recoveries and Fraud Investigations seeks reimbursement when the state has issued payment for benefits that were obtained inappropriately or when another party was responsible for issuing payment.
