The Job Service Office is ready to help job seekers identify opportunities and prepare for productive employment through the following services: Employment Services - Staff can help identify career interests, write a resume, prepare for a job interview and access appropriate training. Job listings are posted from local employers, state-wide employers, and federal and state government agencies. Job search assistance classes are available in addition to computers to conduct a job search or apply on-line. All individuals seeking employment or information about the local labor market receive assistance at no charge. ICAP Housing Services provides the following programs: Rapid Rehousing and Homeless Prevention Programs: aims to help two specific groups - persons who are at great risk of homelessness and those who have become homeless. Services that can be provided include case management, security deposit and rent assistance. These services are aimed at helping participants to retain their housing, therefore avoiding homelessness, or to re-enter appropriate permanent housing as quickly as possible. Housing Repair / Rehabilitation: Provides a zero-interest, five-year decreasing balance loan for eligible homeowners to be used for accessibility modifications for persons with disabilities, in addition to making necessary repairs for health, safety and code compliance. Self-Help Housing Rehabilitation: Eligible participants will work with program staff to identify their specific needs and to create a work plan. The Program Coordinator will find the best funding sources available to the homeowners and assist them throughout the process. Weatherization and Furnace Replacement Program: Aimed at making housing for low-income persons more energy-efficient and less costly for the residents. The residence is audited and a list of needs is developed. The program provides the materials and pays contractors for the labor to weatherize the home (caulk cracks, insulate, weather-strip, fix windows, etc.). Furnaces can be repaired or replaced, if not repairable, through the program. In addition, some inefficient/high-cost non-operating appliances (range / refrigerator / water heater) can also be replaced in certain circumstances. Homeless Rent and Deposit: Helping homeless households get into housing. Must provide steady and reliable source of income. Applicant must agree to case management services.

Personal Care, refers to non-medical home care that helps individual maintain independence and improve their quality of life at home. A joint effort of the Scottish Rite Foundation of South Dakota and the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at USD with support from the Sioux Empire United Way. The clinic's purpose is to provide evaluation, treatment, and outreach services for children birth to 21 years in the Sioux Falls area with speech, language, and literacy deficits. Also provides a training site for graduate students in Speech Language/Pathology. Examples of disorders seen include children who are late talking, who have articulation disorders, language disorders, stuttering difficulties, hearing losses, etc. The clinic also serves as a diagnostic center for written language / dyslexia. The mission of SHIINE is to advocate for, inform, educate, and assist people with Medicare about Medicare's services so consumers can make timely informed decisions and access resources to meet their needs. Staff and trained volunteer counselors are available statewide who can assist people, free of charge, who have problems or questions regarding their Medicare benefits. Also housed with SHIINE is SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol) which is to detect, protect, and prevent fraud, waste and abuse.
