• Credit When Credit Is Due: A 6 hour financial education course that covers all aspects of credit and borrowing. Graduates of the course receive information to send to the credit bureaus to add a positive statement on their credit reports.
• Make Your Move: An educational program for anyone looking to purchase a home or refinance a home. Make Your Move takes a complicated subject and makes it simple. This course meets HUD guidelines. You will learn all about the home buying process.

The Ins and Outs of Renting: A 2 hour rental education course for anyone already renting or looking to rent. Learn the rights and responsibilities of being a renter, what questions you should ask before renting, and tips to get the right rental for you. Classes for groups can be scheduled by phone and taught at location. No charge for this service.

For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown location is also able to provide car seats for all ages when the purchase of a car seat is financial hardship.

CES is an assessment and referral system to housing resources for those who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. It is not a direct application for assistance; rather trained assessors gather information from households to assess needs and barriers to housing. Referrals are sent to providers in communities where vacancies are available. Households can access CES through a physical access point or calling toll free 1-800-664-1349 if a physical access point is not available in their local community.

Pathway of Hope guides families with children 18 years and younger through crisis and instability to a place of security. Offers strengths-based casework, providing services such as: financial counseling and planning, goal setting with action steps, job training, referrals and employment assistance, assistance with securing housing and child care, and emotional and spiritual support. Pathway of Hope works with people where they are, offering practical guidance to help families overcome obstacles one step at a time.
