Individual, couples, or family therapy for the treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and seniors focusing on issues including, but are not limited to anxiety, mood, personality disorders, somatization disorders, psychosexual disorders, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), abuse issues, eating disorders, dementia, grief and loss, childhood emotional and behavioral disorders, spirituality, stress management, and executive health. Evaluations available include psychiatric, psychological, neuropsychological, forensic, and custody.

Veteran support groups are available at both Vet Centers in Rapid City and Sioux Falls. Groups include a men's Vietnam support group, women's support group, garden group, and Project Healing Waters group. Also offers a combat and military sexual trauma support group and a service building spiritual strength group. Groups are subject to change throughout the year. Must be enrolled at the Vet Center to participate.

Prescriptions available for people with healthcare conditions. To cut cost dramatically for normally expensive drugs, the company buys the drugs directly from the manufacturer and tacks on a flat 15% fee to cover the cost of business. Therefore, to keep insurance companies from hiking up the prices, insurance is not accepted on the site. The site also has price transparency by showing customers what it cost them to get the drug and what they are charging consumers for it.

This is a free bed program through a partnership with Slumberland. Beds are reserved on a first come first serve basis. Referrals from local agencies are required for families to receive beds. Referrals are to be submitted only by local agencies - not clients themselves.

• Identify service gaps within Pennington County (i.e. affordable housing, transportation, affordable healthcare, assistance with application fees, and deposit funds for homeless individuals)

Create and implement an action plan and put actions steps in place with community partners Continue to develop Community Liaison Position with the role and job description to identify and secure funds for this position serving the BHRHC Continue to collaborate with Western South Dakota groups with similar missions and purposes and/or who are utilizing HUD funding to improve services and move toward a regional action plan and vision while improving partnerships.

The Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department serves and protects the community of Sturgis as well as a 580 square-mile area of Meade and Lawrence Counties. The Ambulance Service serves the residents of Sturgis as well as communities in western Meade County and eastern Lawrence County including lower Boulder Canyon.

Qualified mental health professionals (QMHP) respond in the community to assess immediate needs, provide crisis intervention and de-escalation, develop safety plans, and connect individuals and families with appropriate services and ongoing support.

Coats for Kids (and other folks)! A one day give away event held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 9:00am - 12:00noon. Anyone is welcome to receive a coat. Hats, gloves, and mittens will also be available.

Palace Transit operates curb to curb public transportation to anyone of any age in Mitchell. The transit service is a demand response public transit service operated by professional transit operators. Along with transportation to any location within the City of Mitchell, Palace Transit provides service to and from the Mitchell or Sioux Falls Airport. A Summer Bus Pass is available for unlimited rides to and from the public library or city facilities/activities.
