Lifeline is a federal benefit that lowers/reduces the cost of phone (landlines or cell phones), internet or bundled service (only in competitive telephone service territories). Lifeline helps eligible consumers save up to $5.25 on phone service or $9.25 toward their monthly broadband bill. Subscribers may receive a discount on either phone or internet, but not both.   • Tribal Lifeline helps eligible residents of tribal lands save up to $34.25 on their monthly phone, internet or bundled services. The discount applies to landline or wireless residential telephone service plans and is limited to one line per household.
Eligible consumers may also be able to sign up for free toll blocking or toll limitation service that either blocks or limits long-distance calls from your phone.
  • Tribal Link Up provides a one-time discount for the connection or activation charge for new telephone service at the applicant's primary residence.
Eligible consumers may receive a discount up to $100.00, of the charge for starting telecommunications service at a Tribal Lifeline subscriber's primary residence. Link Up also allows you to pay any remaining amount owed on initiation of service (up to $200.00) on a deferred schedule, interest free.
