Monument Health is an integrated health care system with the purpose of helping patients and communities live well. Rapid City Monument Hospital provides health care services 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to the people who live in the Black Hills. The hospital has a pharmacy for medication needs as well as medication disposal. Maternal Child Healthcare provides Infant Sleep Safety services, immunizations, and pregnancy support services. Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown location is also able to provide car seats for all ages when the purchase of a car seat is financial hardship.

Services include collecting fees for property taxes and vehicle licenses (cars, motorcycles, trucks, trailers, commercial vehicles, snowmobiles, and boats), parking permits application and issuing for individuals with a disability, and application assistance for tax reduction/rebate program for individuals who are disabled and/or elderly (65 or older).

• Assists with any floodplain needs. The Edmunds County Flood Plain Authority is the county/city limit line. The office staff can assist with an aerial view of the property using the Geographic Information System (GIS), or the property owner can access the system on website. This allows allows the user to view, understand, question, interpret, and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns, and trends in the form of maps, globes, reports, and charts. A property owner can build in a flood plain, but will need to complete a Floodplain Development Permit Application, to include a flood proof plan. The property can also be built up with fill and the soil compacted to rise above the flood plain.

Assists with any drainage needs. The Drainage Ordinance is intended to provide the basic guidance needed by the county drainage commission in carrying out drainage responsibilities.

Crooks Municipal Utilities serves the city of Crooks with water, sewer, and natural gas services. Also provides natural gas services in the Renner and rural Sioux Falls area.

Improves how South Dakota connects veterans and military families to resources they need such as mental health support, basic needs, and social care. Focuses on care coordination and early access by strengthening how community and public partners work together, especially when individuals are not engaged in care. Supports shared communication, reduces delays, closes gaps between providers, and improves follow-through between organizations involved in care.

Alateen is a 12-step program which provides support, understanding and encouragement to friends and relatives whose life has been affected by someone's alcoholism. ICAP Housing Services provides the following programs: Rapid Rehousing and Homeless Prevention Programs: aims to help two specific groups - persons who are at great risk of homelessness and those who have become homeless. Services that can be provided include case management, security deposit and rent assistance. These services are aimed at helping participants to retain their housing, therefore avoiding homelessness, or to re-enter appropriate permanent housing as quickly as possible. Housing Repair / Rehabilitation: Provides a zero-interest, five-year decreasing balance loan for eligible homeowners to be used for accessibility modifications for persons with disabilities, in addition to making necessary repairs for health, safety and code compliance. Self-Help Housing Rehabilitation: Eligible participants will work with program staff to identify their specific needs and to create a work plan. The Program Coordinator will find the best funding sources available to the homeowners and assist them throughout the process. Weatherization and Furnace Replacement Program: Aimed at making housing for low-income persons more energy-efficient and less costly for the residents. The residence is audited and a list of needs is developed. The program provides the materials and pays contractors for the labor to weatherize the home (caulk cracks, insulate, weather-strip, fix windows, etc.). Furnaces can be repaired or replaced, if not repairable, through the program. In addition, some inefficient/high-cost non-operating appliances (range / refrigerator / water heater) can also be replaced in certain circumstances. Homeless Rent and Deposit: Helping homeless households get into housing. Must provide steady and reliable source of income. Applicant must agree to case management services.

Services provided by the Division of Child Support include locating noncustodial parents, establishing paternity, establishing or modifying child support and medical support orders, enforcing support orders, enforcing alimony if a child support order is being enforced, and collecting and processing support payments.

Coordinates dental services free of charge to the elderly, disabled, or medically compromised individuals who qualify for the program.

Provides all lines of home medical equipment and supplies for rent or sale to individuals in need of continuing care in their home. Offers 24-hour emergency call service for added convenience, full training in equipment usage and handling, and repair service for home medical equipment.

Assists with rent assistance for eviction notices, utility assistance for disconnect notices, hotel stays (does not provide a homeless shelter), gasoline or bus pass for stranded motorists or for medical reasons, minor car repairs, assistance after a disaster (i.e. house fire, flood, etc.), and prescription assistance for qualifying medications. The needs of the individual/family will be assessed, and certain documentation may be required (ex. driver's license). After business hours, The Salvation Army of Brookings County works with the Brookings County Sheriff or City Police to help individuals and families in the case of an emergency/immediate need.

An indoor/outdoor pool area that offers four different slides, two hot tubs, sauna, steam room, lap swimming, swing rings, water basketball, and water volleyball. Also offers fitness classes, weight room, cardio room, and spinning room. Health Club access is available for those 16 and over. These include hot tubs, sauna, and steam room.
