24-hour emergency shelter for women and children that provides crisis services for rape victims, child abuse victims and their non-offending family members, family members of homicide victims, adults molested as children, and victims of elder abuse. Services include accompany victims to hospital and through systems, transportation, advocacy, including criminal justice and court, emergency clothing and other supplies, assistance with protection orders, weekly women's support groups, crisis counseling, referrals and information, and assistance in filing for victim compensation.

The Victim-Witness Assistance program notifies victims of court dates, explains what the charges mean, explains the criminal justice system, assists victims in filling out applications for South Dakota Crime Victim's Compensation, assists victims in communication their needs, wishes, and restitution requests, refers victims to community services, including, but not limited to, counseling, social services, food, shelter, legal services, and Safe Harbor, and accompanies victims to court when needed. Victims of violent crime or vehicular battery, are entitled to certain rights under the provisions of the 1991 South Dakota Victims Rights Act. Although victims are entitled to be notified of rights by the prosecutor, they must inform the prosecutor if they want to exercise these rights.

Provides assistance to victims and survivors of drunk and drugged driving crashes. Services may include emotional support, victim events, Support groups, Literature, Guidance through the justice systems, Information and referrals, and 24-hour national Help Line for victims of substance impaired driving crashes. ​ MADD Victim Advocates may be able to provide assistance in completing applications for Crime Victim Compensation, a state program that assists with expenses that have occurred due to a crime. They may offer court accompaniment, court case monitoring, and assistance in preparing Victim Impact Statements as well as parole hearing statements, and other services. Support services are available for adult and children victims, survivors and families and friends who have been impacted by an impaired driving crash.

To educate, advocate for and empower survivors of domestic abuse and violence (as well as coercive control, human trafficking, sexual assault, dating abuse and violence, child abuse, adults molested as children, other victims of violence crimes, stalking and elder abuse) and their dependents. Engages communities in promoting no tolerance of domestic abuse and violence. Services include answers crisis calls 24/7 and follow ups with victims, Gives referrals and maintains a Shelter Safe House in Redfield (7 beds for up to 10 victims), Assists victims in finding attorneys, obtaining protection orders, attending court, and working with law enforcement. Also assists victims find jobs and housing to work towards independent living and works as medical advocates by accompanying victims to the hospital when obtaining medical assistance for injuries or sexual assault. Brings awareness to help prevent acts of violence by speaking to church groups and civic organizations as well as presentations in all 7 public schools in the tri-county area to teach awareness of bullying and safe dating to 8th graders and safety when starting college to high school seniors.
