Outpatient services are available to anyone who may currently be experiencing problems which are of an emotional, behavioral, substance abuse, or interpersonal nature. Therapy services include individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, home-based therapy, medication management, substance use individual and group treatment programs, crisis intervention, and telehealth. Diagnostic services include psychiatric evaluation, mental status examination, education assessment, emergency mental health evaluation, and treatment needs assessment for substance abuse problems. Offers walk in assessments for substance use disorder during regular business hours.

Mental Health Services | Northeastern Mental Health Center

Offers outpatient counseling services for individual, couple, and families. Staff members work with the client to provide services in the home, community, or office at the discretion of the client. Substance use evaluation, assessment, and treatment is also provided. Walk in assessments and telehealth services are available during normal business hours at the Aberdeen location. Psychiatric services are also available to those over the age of 18 including assessments and medication management.

Provides medical care to maximize comfort and quality of life for patients facing terminal illnesses. It can take place anywhere a patient might reside such as in the home, a nursing home, or in a short-term in-patient hospital setting. Services include medical social services, spiritual care, personal care services, home management services, physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, nutritional services, medication management, medical equipment and supplies, short-term-in-patient care, and bereavement/aftercare services for at least a year.

Sanford Hospice is a specially trained team that is committed to providing our patients with quality end-of-life care. Our interdisciplinary team understands and is sensitive to the needs of our patients and their loved ones. Our team is comprised of nurses, medical director, social workers, dietitians, volunteers and chaplains. Hospice services can be provided wherever that patient calls home. This includes inpatient hospice, hospice cottages, nursing homes, assisted livings, and other long term care facilities. Hospice cottages, a unique way to care for a terminally-ill patient who is unable to remain in their home for care, are available, as well. ​​Ava's House features 16 adult patient rooms and 4 pediatric patient rooms. Services include 24-hour room service menu for patients, aromatherapy, grief/bereavement counseling, music enrichment, pain management, pet therapy, spiritual and social support, and remembrance items and activities for the family. Hospice services use a team approach of physicians, nurses, social workers, home health aides, volunteers, chaplains, family members and others. Hospice strives to provide quality medical care, pain and symptom management, and emotional and spiritual support tailored to help ensure a higher quality of life. Nursing visits are made on a regular schedule and an on-call 24-hour basis as needed. HOPE Waiver | South Dakota Department of Human Services

The Home and Community-Based Options and Person-Centered Excellence (HOPE) waiver provides home and community-based services to people who need nursing facility level of care. The waiver allows people age 65 and older, and people age 18 and older who have a qualifying disability, to live at home or in the setting that is most independent for them. Services may include in-home services, respite and caregiver services, nutrition and meals, safety and help getting around, adult day services, community living home, and assisted living.
