The Community Health Center was established in 1979 with its goal being to remove the barriers, primarily financial, that exist and limit the access of lower income individuals or families seeking primary health care services.  ​Services for the general public include family health, lab radiology, well-child care, immunizations, family planning (including birth control, STD screening and treatment), patient education, and dental care. These are children who, for a variety of reasons, have been unable to access adequate dental care. United Way & Volunteer Services partners with Delta Dental of SD to bring the Delta Dental Mobile Program to Yankton each spring to offer no cost dental care to children ages 0-21. **Pre-registration is required to participate. Provides oral health care to underserved children in South Dakota. The Mobile Program includes a fully equipped mobile dental clinic to provide diagnostic, preventive, and restorative care across the state, as well as oral health education.
