The Ryan White Part B CARE Program provides services to HIV positive individuals who reside in the State of South Dakota. Services include the Aids Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), assistance with health care costs, assistance with insurance enrollment and premium payments, and one on one case management/counseling services for individuals who are HIV positive. The HIV prevention Program is for anyone residing in the State of South Dakota who has concerns about HIV/STD's. Strategies to Embrace Living with Lupus Fearlessly (SELF) is a self-care program for people with lupus to manage their symptoms, stress, medications, and work with their health care team.
Provides one-on-one coaching over the phone to transition out of poverty. Clients work with a coach to identify their needs and map the necessary steps to meet those needs. Coaches then support clients as they take steps and make progress towards their goals. The Transition to Success mindset is that poverty is not a character flaw, but rather a treatable condition caused by negative circumstances. The coaching process is nonjudgmental and client-led. ICAP Community Services offers the following: Case Management & Protective Payee Services: Case management assists participants to create a self-sufficiency plan, which sets out goals that the participant will work toward with the support of a Community Service Worker (CSW). Protective payee services is where the participant is provided financial management education and the CSW controls the participant's income, pays bills, buys groceries, other necessities, and in general manages the participant's finances for a period of time. Information & Referral: Community Service Workers provide information regarding the services available from ICAP and other providers (Social Service, County Welfare, etc.). School supplies: Helps lower-income families by providing some or all of the basic necessities to the student. School supplies are distributed in August.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers: This class helps caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, balance their life, better communicate their feelings, make tough decisions, and locate helpful resources. Six class sessions held once a week are led by certified, experienced leaders; class sizes range from 8-15 caregivers. Savvy Caregiver Classes: Provides training for unpaid family caregivers of people with dementia or related diseases. The small group discussion classes address the progressive impact of the illness and skills needed to manage daily caregiver responsibilities. The six sessions will help develop good care management tools through group discussions, skill building, problem solving, assertiveness training, and brainstorming. Stressbusting for Family Caregivers Classes: A 9-week program that meets once a week for an hour and a half and offers insights and coping tools to help caregivers manage the stress of caregiving effectively. Classes are available at both Active Generations locations and virtual.
