Case Management and IMPACT Programs, designed to help clients with severe and persistent mental illness, services include case management and continued care, medication management with psychiatrist, crisis intervention assistance, and psychiatric rehabilitation which seeks to provide program services that assist clients in developing skills and manage resources needed to allow them to be successful in the community. A client centered, client directed form of treatment, the program consists of services designed to restore the disabled person to a level of functioning which permits a useful, meaningful life.

Children's services include case management and a home-based program that provides a wide range of therapeutic support. Early childhood mental health services are also available including play therapy. Areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, grief, parenting challenges, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), stress management, and issues related to trauma or abuse.

Offers access to resources such as training, videos, curricula, and books on topics surrounding the issues of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and violence related issues. Training and resources are offered around mental health first aid and suicide prevention. Provides services to 21 counties in the N.E. region of South Dakota. Also, has opioid prevention resources such as DisposeRX packets, medication lock boxes, and Naloxboxes.

Offers mental health and substance use services as well as both family and individual case management services which include comprehensive child/adolescent/family services, comprehensive adult/family services, adult/adolescent/family substance abuse services, and outpatient psychiatric medical services. ​Walk-in assessments available during regular business hours and emergency mental health crisis support services available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. The Systems of Care (SOC) program is a wraparound approach to delivering services to at-risk youth and families. This program is a free resource available to children under the age of 21 and their families and is meant to be a temporary service to help meet the needs of the child and family. Identified needs include but are not limited to basic needs, social supports, emotional needs, educational needs, community supports, housing supports, health, and safety. This program is meant to be temporary where services will conclude once all needs have been met. In instances where the child or a family member requires additional supports outside of what can be provided through this program, assistance will be provided in obtaining these additional services.

Aimed at helping people with a severe and persistent mental illness to live successfully in the community. This program stresses outreach to consumers and the provision of services according to the individual consumer's needs, and is available through Dakota Counseling Institute's Pathway program located in a separate building beside the main office in Mitchell. Each consumer is assigned a case manager who, with the active participation of the consumer, designs an individualized treatment plan outlining the various services which will be provided to reach individualized treatment goals. Examples of services provided are case management, medication management, crisis intervention housing assistance, linkage to appropriate community services, and telehealth services.
