Equine Assisted Counseling (EAC) is the combined use of horses, a licensed therapist, and a horse specialist working with clients to address various individual treatment goals. EAC is safe and all activities are done from the ground. No riding is involved.

Crisis intervention, assessments, counseling, and case management services that help young people and their families overcome challenges and pave the way for an improved quality of life. Provides support to individuals suffering from mental health issues, alcohol and drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and crime victimization. Support is also provided to individuals struggling with personality development and relationship issues. People with disabilities and those with challenging life circumstances can come to Joy Ranch to enjoy nature and participate in horse related activities and other experiences. Joy Ranch is a barrier free and stairway free environment that everyone can access. The general public is welcome to go horseback riding/take lessons, visit an 1880's town, reserve rooms for wedding ceremony/reception and corporate events, stay in a themed hotel room, and take part in meals offered.

Integrative treatments for trauma, as well as depression/anxiety that has not been responsive to traditional modalities. Mindfulness and self compassion focused approaches improve one's relationship with oneself and others. Seasonal experiential workshops, including equine therapy, are held periodically. Community-based counseling center that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Bereavement services for family members is also available. Readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Individual, group, couples, and family counseling is offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services.

Through exposure to nature, alternative healing and open communication the program utilizes peer-to-peer support to encourage physical and mental healing. Program includes blacksmithing, leatherwork, equine therapy, massages, hiking, cooking, and yoga therapy.

Specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), moral injury, trauma, addiction, grief and loss, abuse, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Team building and professional development workshops are also available.

Provides equestrian programs and therapies to individuals with physical, emotional, and/or cognitive challenges (5 years old and up). No equipment requirements, no experience needed.

Provides support to veterans through financial aid, legal guidance, transportation, therapy, treatment access, disability claims assistance, and equine therapy. Offers advocacy services to address barriers veterans face. If direct help isn't available, staff will connect individuals to the appropriate resources.
