The Social Security Administration distributes the nation's basic method of insuring a continuing income to a person or family when earnings stop or are reduced because of retirement, disability or death. Payments are not intended to replace all lost earnings. People should try to supplement Social Security payments with savings, pensions, investments, or other insurance. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays benefits/monthly checks to qualifying individuals based on financial need. To qualify you must be at least 65, blind or disabled. Low income and resource limits also apply. www.ssa.gov/ssi Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) pays benefits to people meeting certain medical requirements for disability payments, if you are insured, meaning that you worked long enough and paid Social Security taxes. www.ssa.gov/disability Disability Determination Services (DDSs) field office is responsible for verifying non-medical eligibility requirements, which may include age, employment, marital status, or Social Security coverage information. Farm Service Agency (FSA) handles many federal farm programs and makes agricultural and commodity loans. FSA provides financial assistance to producers who have suffered from natural disasters. Transition Assistance Advisor | United States Department of Defense

The purpose of the Transition Assistance Advisor (TAA) program is to provide a professional to serve as the statewide point of contact to assist Service Members and Veterans in accessing Department of Veterans Affairs' health care services and benefits. Each TAA also provides assistance in obtaining entitlements through the Military Health System and access to community resources. The Transition Assistance Advisor (TAA): Provides information and assistance to Service members and their families to help them understand and access state and federal benefits as well as services through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Business Administration (VBA), Military Health System, and the Department of Labor. Coordinates with VA, TRICARE, Veteran Service Organizations, and other federal, state, and community resources to provide important information and help with obtaining services to meet your needs during the post-deployment period. Participates in the mobilization and demobilization process to brief and advise members and their families about available VA entitlements and available resources in their communities. Coordinates activities for the Post-Deployment Health Reassessment event (a screening evaluation for any lingering physical and mental health conditions Service members may experience at 3-6 months post-deployment). Researches and resolve issues associated with entitlements when problems arise. Advises the Joint Forces Headquarters and coordinate with Family Support Specialists, Employer Support Group to assist with access to entitlements available through Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Labor, and other veterans' entitlement and benefit programs.

Missouri National Recreational River - National Park Service | United States Department of the Interior

The Missouri National Recreational River is a National Park unit, consisting of two relatively free flowing stretches of the Missouri River: 59 mile reach that was designated in 1978, stretches from just below Gavin's Point Dam to Ponca, Nebraska 39 mile reach which was designated in 1991, stretches from below Fort Randall Dam to Running Water, South Dakota. This reach also includes the lower 20 miles of the Niobrara River and 8 miles of Verdigre Creek. The park's land base is quite small with approximately 1,500 acres. The staff of the park work with a number of federal, state and local partners to manage these incredible stretches of North America's longest river.
