The Street Division is responsible for over 300 lane miles. The division continuously evaluates city streets, equipment, materials, and personnel in order to provide a safe network of streets, traffic control systems, and mosquito abatement. The division also implements stormwater maintenance programs and responds to citizens' requests and concerns, while operating in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Oversees the following divisions of the City of Yankton: Traffic Control, Streets, Engineering and the Airport. Constructs and maintains surface transportation systems that support economic viability, promotes safe travel, and add esthetically to the community. Users can upload a photo from their mobile device and attach GPS coordinates with their submission along with a brief message. A City employee will reach out when the issue is scheduled for repair and/or has been resolved.
