Health Care and Behavioral Health Services | Hot Springs VA Medical Center

Provides information about and is dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Crohn's Disease is a group of conditions know as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). It is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract. Ulcerative Colitis is a chronic disease of the large intestine in which the colon becomes inflamed and develops tiny open sores, or ulcers, that produce pus and mucous.

Navigation Center | Avera

A 24-hour source of support and information to cancer patients and their families. Reasons for calling the Navigation Center can range from managing symptoms, to finding resources for emotional support, to getting help for loved ones impacted by cancer. Anyone can call the Navigation Center - they do not need to be an Avera patient. Calls are answered by registered nurses and social workers. The Avera Cancer Institute has a registered dietician that can assist cancer patients with eating problems and related nutritional concerns, and offers several cancer support groups (in the Sioux Empire area) including A Time To Heal for All Cancers, Cancer Caregiver Support Group, Look Good, Feel Better, Men's Cancer Support Group, and To Be Well.
