Health Connect of South Dakota: Strives to provide all South Dakotans access to qualitative, authenticated, independent sources of health information. Provides South Dakotans with free up-to-date health information on a variety of medical and safety issues. As needed, information and referrals to other organizations who may have additional pertinent information is available along with information on support groups and national agencies. Manages the Sioux Empire Coalition and the Sioux Empire Coalition for Youth and Young Adults and provides facilitation for various evidence based health programs. A private, non-profit organization, paid by Medicare, to work with healthcare providers, communities, and Medicare consumers and families in the state and region to improve healthcare. Offers technical assistance, tailored education, best practices, tools and resources to aid in healthcare improvement. Information about the quality of care provided in local nursing homes and home health agencies is available by logging onto Medicare's website and clicking on Nursing Home Compare or Home Health Compare. Research Office | Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate - Department of Education

Enhances tribal research infrastructure by continuing to build the research review capacity, educating through community engagement, and exercising tribal sovereignty through research data management. The office keeps a list of current research projects, hosts a research review board meeting, and processes permits for approved research/information gathering projects. The office also answers questions related to volunteering for research projects.
