Classes for Caregivers | Active Generations

Powerful Tools for Caregivers: This class helps caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, balance their life, better communicate their feelings, make tough decisions, and locate helpful resources. Six class sessions held once a week are led by certified, experienced leaders; class sizes range from 8-15 caregivers. Savvy Caregiver Classes: Provides training for unpaid family caregivers of people with dementia or related diseases. The small group discussion classes address the progressive impact of the illness and skills needed to manage daily caregiver responsibilities. The six sessions will help develop good care management tools through group discussions, skill building, problem solving, assertiveness training, and brainstorming. Stressbusting for Family Caregivers Classes: A 9-week program that meets once a week for an hour and a half and offers insights and coping tools to help caregivers manage the stress of caregiving effectively. Classes are available at both Active Generations locations and virtual.
