NeSoDak specializes in summer youth programs, including 1-2-3 camps (two nights) for elementary youth, half-week and week-long camps for middle school through junior high youth, Servant Journey and adventures camps. Klein Ranch - Klein Ranch is a unique camp that offers youth the opportunity to begin to stretch their boundaries, and abilities, as they ride horses on 2,300 acres of Wild West ranch country. Campers can spend a week exploring the prairie on horseback and participating in other activities, such as hiking the mini badlands, having an overnight campout, playing games and more. Through the camp's small group community, youth strengthen their identity and gain depth in their faith. At Klein Ranch, youth also develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and for others as they care for the animals at the camp. Outlaw Ranch - Located amongst granite outcroppings in the southern Black Hills, Outlaw Ranch is open year round, offering summer youth camps, family camp, year round retreats for youth and adults, as well as hosting business gatherings and family reunions. Hope Prison Ministry helps men or women by giving them a hand up so they have the means to start their lives anew after release from incarceration, by providing them with clothes and resources they need to find food, transportation, housing, and other items deemed reasonable on a one-time basis. Offers fellowship and friendship beyond the walls. Mentoring Programs: Focus on one-to-one positive interactions with inmates with the goal of preventing a return to criminal behavior. P-2 Project is a person-to-person visitation program that provides one-to-one visitation with a jail inmate. M-2 Program is a man-to-man visitation program that provides one-to-one visitation with an inmate at the South Dakota State Penitentiary.

A seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos also include on-location video and the real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. After viewing the video, there is small group discussion about the video. The group also allows for the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a loss, learn about their experiences and have the opportunity to share personal experiences related to the loss.

Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota networks closely with Lutheran Disaster Response and state, local and other faith-based disaster relief programs when disaster occurs in South Dakota. When a natural or economic disaster occurs, LSS is available to assist individuals, families, congregations and communities through their difficult times and work toward long-term recovery. Examples of situations where LSS has been involved include severe storm damage, tornados, flooding, forest fires and drought. LSS staff throughout the state with training and experience in Critical Incident Stress Management can mobilize quickly to offer counseling and case management when disaster strikes.
