The City of Hill City's Administration team consists of the City Administrator, City Engineer, and City Attorney. The City Administrator implements the policy decisions of the elected body and work on various city infrastructure projects. The City Administrator is appointed for a two year term that coincides with the Mayor's election. The City Engineer is responsible for managing capital improvement projects and reporting information about the projects to the public. The City Attorney represents the city in contractual matters, is responsible for drafting new ordinances and amendments to current ordinances, and is responsible for prosecuting violations of municipal ordinance. Both the City Attorney and the City Engineer are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Common Council.

Provides assisted living and memory care services in a home-like environment with care plans tailored to each resident and their specific needs. Provides 24-hour assistance with bathing, dressing, medication, and other therapeutic activities. Memory care services provide a structured environment with a soothing and therapeutic atmosphere.

Refugee resettlement agency, assisting newly arriving refugees and asylees with the transition of moving to a new land. Services include case management, employment services, education services, English language training, community orientation, and information and referral. May assist clients for up to five years. Provides cultural and diversity training to employers, businesses, agencies, and church groups. Also provides immigration counseling and interpreter services. The Center for New Americans also has some services available for other immigrants who have come to the United States by choice, sometimes for the same reasons as refugees. Services provided for immigrants include English language training, immigration services, and citizenship classes.

Advocates on behalf of its members and actively supports business, agriculture and tourism resulting in an enhanced quality of place for the entire community, services include visitor information, relocation information, Sturgis Rally information, community support and advocacy, and leadership training. Providing information and resources to meet the needs of individuals who have spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D), their families and friends, the medical and scientific community, service and business professionals, the media, students, government and elected officials, and interested members of the public. Extensive Chapter and support group network nationwide provides local guidance and support to individuals living with SCI/D or other wheelchair users due to mobility disabilities, their families, friends, and caregivers.

Library services include fiction and non-fiction reading materials to borrow, 3 public computers, free Wi-Fi (must get password from Librarian), access to e-books and digital audiobooks through the South Dakota State Library, monthly story-time and crafts for children, and other adult classes available (crafts, cooking, etc.).

Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) is a supplemental food program that enables eligible households to obtain a more nutritious diet. Eligibility is determined by income, resources, and household size. Lost, stolen, or damaged EBT (SNAP) cards must call customer service to report the loss of your card. You will need to enter the card number. If you do not have the card, stay on the line for a second prompt and press 2. Reporting an EBT card as lost, stolen, or damaged will result in that card being declined.

60's + Dining is a senior congregate meal program that provides a nutritious noon meal which reduces or prevents malnutrition, a major cause of other health problems. The program also provides socialization for the participants, which helps ease the problem of isolation among older persons. Persons who are unable to leave their homes due to illness or frailty may receive a home-delivered meal, while those who are able to travel meet at a congregate site for their meals. Participants in the program are asked to make a donation for the meal, but no one is refused service if unable to do so. Frozen Meal Program available to any client over 60. Quality, balanced, nutritious meals are flash frozen in specialty containers that can be heated in the microwave.

The County Extension Office is the base of the 4-H Youth Program Advisor. It provides youth development education via the South Dakota 4-H program and other youth enrichment learning experiences at the community level as well as information including fact sheets, feature articles, podcasts, webinars and more is accessible to constituents through website www.igrow.org.

In an emergency, helps existing clients via phone or secure email, or anyone in need of immediate help.

Riverside Cemetery has 35 acres that are maintained. There are around 400 burial sites left to purchase in the original 35 acres. In August of 2001 the City of Pierre purchased 52 additional acres, of which, 25 acres will be developed into burial sites and roads. This will give the cemetery an additional 12,400 burial sites.

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation operates the Midco® Aquatic Center and eight other facilities, including three family aquatic centers, two neighborhood aquatic facilities, three spray parks, and two wading pools. Please note that successful demonstration of skills from the preceding level is a prerequisite for all levels except Level 1.
