WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Provides support groups for survivors of domestic violence. ​Support groups include Hands are Not for Hitting and Pattern Changing Group. Hands are Not for Hitting is for children aged 6 - 12 years who have been victimized by domestic violence or sexual assault. The focus of the group is to help child victims of violence solve problems nonviolently and learn to identify and express their feelings in a healthy way. Children learn that the abuse is not their fault and they have their feelings validated. Pattern Changing Group is designed to help women who have been in abusive relationships gain confidence in themselves and learn to live healthy and abusive free lives. Child care is available for those attending group.

TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) is a temporary public assistance work program administered by the Department of Social Services in partnership with the Department of Labor and Regulation. Mental health counseling uniquely tailored to meet each client's needs in a safe, non-judgmental environment. A variety of methods are used for treatment including EMDR, IFS, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Adlerian Therapy. Trauma informed care is provided for adolescents, adults, individuals, couples and families working through anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relational trauma as well as other issues that occur throughout life. In-person sessions are available in the Spearfish office, or statewide via telehealth. Intensive and marathon sessions are provided as an option for treatment as well as traditional counseling sessions for individuals and couples.

Support group for women who have witnessed or experienced violence in a relationship. These groups seek to provide support and feedback to women who have been emotionally, sexually, or physically abused in their relationships. Topics of discussion include: the dynamics of domestic violence, crisis issues caused by domestic violence, the impact of traumatic experiences on daily living, staying safe, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.The women's support groups are open and may be joined by anyone at any time. No pre-registration is required to attend and groups are offered free of charge.
