Coteau des Prairies (CDP) Health Care System is a 25-bed, critical access acute care, community non-profit hospital serving approximately 21,000 residents in the Glacial Lakes Region in north east South Dakota, and west central Minnesota. CDP Health Care System owns and operates the attached certified rural health clinic in Sisseton, and the Rosholt Clinic in Rosholt, South Dakota.​ Services available at Coteau des Prairies Hospital and Clinic include In-patient and out-patient surgery, Swing Beds, Emergency Room, Cardiac Rehab, Laboratory Services, Radiology, Mammography, Therapy Services, Fitness Center, Medication disposal, Diabetic Education, Telehealth, Medical-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Nutrition Services, and Women's Health. IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) offer personal, face-to-face help for tax issues that cannot be handled online or by phone. All TACs operate by appointment only. When calling to schedule an appointment, customer service representatives are available 7:00am - 7:00pm, Monday - Friday. Before scheduling an appointment, please visit the website for a list of services offered at your chosen location. For in-person meetings, plan to bring along a current government issued photo ID, a Taxpayer Identification Number, such as a Social Security number, and all necessary tax documents. Offices do not accept cash as payment for tax bills. Many of the services offered at Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) are available online 24/7 and are continually updated with the latest information, useful tools, and other services to solve tax issues. Nearly every tax issue can now be resolved online or by phone from the convenience of your home or office.

NARCAN® Nasal Spray (naloxone) is designed to rapidly reverse the effects of a life-threatening opioid emergency. Naloxone is available at various distribution sites throughout South Dakota during regular business hours, free of charge.

Clinic locations offer family care to Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. Provides a variety of services for family and primary care (including flu shots) as well as prenatal care and OB/GYN. Other health services include yearly checkups, treatment of minor illnesses, and management of chronic conditions.

Provides food pantry services in the Newell Community. Also partners with Feeding South Dakota for a food distribution on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

Stronger Families Together is an initiative to recruit foster/adoptive families in South Dakota. Foster families are needed for children of all ages, sex, race, and ethnicity. ​To apply, Complete the "Commit to Know More" form. Upon completion, the family will be contacted and provided additional information. If an individual/couple chooses to continue the foster parent licensing process, a home consultation will be completed. They will receive more information about becoming a foster parent, and a preliminary safety check of the home will be completed. The next step is preservice training for foster care licensing and/or adoption approval. Upon completion of the training, a final assessment is completed to determine if licensing requirements are met.

Provides in-home assessment and care planning to support individuals experiencing changes in functional ability. Services may include evaluation of support needs, development of a care plan, coordination with family members and providers, and planning for potential transitions in care setting.

Issues and files marriage licenses, issues birth and death certificates, files burial permits, real estate transactions (including deeds, mortgages and mortgages transfers), federal and state tax liens, Reemployment Assistance Compensation Lien, military discharge records, businesses and new business. The Register of Deeds is also responsible for recording all liens, survey plat certificates, and county welfare liens. The Register of Deeds is the official record keeper of the County.

The City Health Department handles a wide variety of issues. The Environmental Health Division consists of programs that regulate tattoo parlors, lodging, campground, Project NICE, food protection programs, child care registration program, noise permits, and nuisance complaints. People who have a desire to stop incurring unsecured debt gather for a one-hour meeting where they share or hear others speak of their experiences working the D.A. program. Sharing is voluntary and participants avoid controversy by not discussing outside issues.
