The mission of SHIINE is to advocate for, inform, educate, and assist people with Medicare about Medicare's services so consumers can make timely informed decisions and access resources to meet their needs. To provide dignity by assisting with laundry services. Individuals are able to do up to 12 loads of laundry (equivalent to three large baskets of laundry) for free per month and enjoy a meal. All items needed to do laundry (detergent, fabric softener, bleach, stain spray) is provided. Sign-up is posted on the Laundry with Love Facebook page the Wednesday before each event.

Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) - pays benefits to people meeting certain medical requirements for disability payments, if you are insured, meaning that you worked long enough and paid Social Security taxes.​ A Disability Determination Services (DDSs) field office is responsible for verifying non-medical eligibility requirements, which may include age, employment, marital status, or Social Security coverage information. The field office then sends the case to a DDS for evaluation of disability The Social Security office may have a list of approved organizational payees.
