​Deadwood History, Inc. (DHI) hosts a family friendly event on Tuesday afternoons during the summer with hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Primary responsibilities are the collection, disbursement and accounting for all City funds, plays a role in the annual budgeting process, conducts City elections, administers state and federal grants, issues business and alcoholic beverage licenses and maintains official records.

The Victim/Witness Assistance Program is committed to protecting the rights of crime victims and witnesses. Notifications and assistance services are provided to victims and witnesses, and other support may be available.

Provides long-term nursing facility care and short-term rehabilitation care. Services include 24hour staffing, pain management, individualized care plans, social services, care coordination, dietary services, and rehabilitative therapies.

Responsible for supervising the structuring and maintenance of County Roads and Bridges and to address concerns as they develop. The County Highway Superintendent is appointed to this position by the Board of County Commissioners.

Clinic locations offer family care to Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. Provides a variety of services for family and primary care (including flu shots) as well as prenatal care and OB/GYN. Other health services include yearly checkups, treatment of minor illnesses, and management of chronic conditions.

Board that licenses professional counselors and therapists in the state. This includes Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health (LPC-MH) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT). Peer support specialists provide non-judgmental support and encouragement to individuals in recovery. Services are offered both in-person and telehealth settings.

Provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with experience in anxiety, mood, ADHD, depression, trauma, grief, sexual abuse, domestic violence, low self-esteem, self-harm behaviors, anger management, assisting children affected by divorce, behavior management, attachment issues, personality disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Specialties include trauma work utilizing trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapies, play therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Only offering services via telehealth.

Pay It Forward Day is a partnership between the SD State Fair, several local businesses, and the United Way Heartland Region. The program provides those in need with a free admission ticket to the State Fair on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Provides the following services: housing counseling, credit counseling, support services and referrals, Veterans' assistance, homebuyer programs, rehab assistance, food security assistance, small business counseling, financial literacy and homebuyer education, after school nutrition program, construction trades and skills training, coordinating homebuying experience from intake to closing, COVID-19 community food and essentials relief, and homeless outreach services and relief.

A detailed safety process used when an individual has made a specific threat toward a school, individual, or group of persons and/or has brought a weapon to school (including threats made on social media). This includes talking with the student, other students involved, family members, school staff, law enforcement, and others with helpful information. It also includes collecting facts and asking important questions to understand the level of risk.

Public transportation for a number of counties surrounding the capital City. Same day, on demand for ride requests. Out of town rides Monday - Friday from any RCPT areas served.Accepts Medicaid; there are many transportation grant opportunities available through RCPT. Transportation is available for medical appointments, shopping, employment, school, day care, senior meals, summer recreation activities, and other needs RCPT coordinates with all other transit agencies in South Dakota and can facilitate a ride statewide. Provides worship and confession services.

Acts as an advocate and provides assistance to military veterans and their dependents in determining eligibility and applying for various federal and state benefits, such as service-connected compensation, non-service connected pension, outpatient and hospital medical treatment, guaranteed home loan certificates, education and on-the-job training benefits, burial benefits, survivor benefits, referral information, as well as many others.

Provides worship and Sunday School services. Coffee fellowship is offered after the first service on Sundays and Holy Communion is offered at all services.

Provides worship services and Bible Study.

Services provided are collecting fees for property taxes and vehicle licenses (cars, motorcycles, trucks, trailers, commercial vehicles, snowmobiles, and boats), parking permits application and issuing for individuals with a disability, and application assistance for tax reduction / rebate programs for individuals who are disabled and / or elderly (65 or older). This office also issues drivers licenses. Only accepts driver license applications/documents for licensing, then issues a paper permit (cards are printed in Pierre then mailed to the applicant weeks later). Does not process out-of-state individuals moving to South Dakota. Cannot process new CDL applicants or non-citizens. The following services are available in Spanish: driver license application, study manuals and written test. The driving part of the test is still given via English as the spoken language.
