Domestic violence and sexual assault survivor advocacy services. Trained advocates are available to provide non-judgmental support for survivors, assistance with protection orders, referrals for medical needs/mental health/and legal services, food, personal items, diapers, other immediate needs, referrals for employment and education, and transportation to flee the area or for employment and housing search.
Support and resource information by trained advocates to provide referrals for medical counseling, social services, and legal services depending on the victims needs.
Confidential adult and children support groups which meet weekly. Available to all victims/survivors of past or present domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Call for more information on available groups.
Community education programs providing speakers, videos, and materials to the public to increase education and awareness on the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. An evidence-based, peer-to-peer suicide prevention program. Members of Hope Squad are nominated by their classmates as trustworthy and supportive peers with whom others feel comfortable. They are trained by Hope Squad advisors on how to notice, support, and intervene with peers who may be at risk.
The main goals of the Hope Squad program are promoting a school and community culture of safety, connectedness, mental wellness, anti-bullying, and reducing mental health stigma. It reduces the risk of youth suicide through education, training, and peer intervention. They also respond to peer-to-peer disclosure of suicide risk.
Hope Squad is present in schools nationally and internationally.
