Provides oral health care to underserved children in South Dakota. The Mobile Program includes two trucks that are fully equipped mobile dental clinics to provide preventive and restorative care across the state, as well as oral health education. Local community agencies act as site partners to host a mobile dental truck and identify children most in need of the care. Martin Dental Clinic offers a full range of family oral health services including: regular cleaning/hygiene appointments, examinations, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, oral dentures, and extractions.
COVID Testing Option: ​Oyate Health Center Urgent Care 3200 Canyon Lake Drive 7:00am - 7:00pm (MT), 7 days a week Closed on Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Oyate Health Center provides primary medical care, outpatient clinic, and urgent care. Additional outpatient services that are provided on site include optometry, pharmacy (Prescription Drug Take Back Site, blue drop-box in pharmacy), laboratory, radiology, dental, physical therapy, podiatry, and social services. Oyate Health Center has 2 sweat lodges that are by sign in only. Call for details. Oyate Health Center provides direct health services to Native Americans and also provide contract health care services and referrals to those that are eligible within IHS requirements. This means that if a patient is enrolled in a federally recognized tribe or can prove lineage of descent of an enrolled tribal member; the patient may receive direct care services at Oyate Health Center. Prescription Assistance - Any Native American enrolled in a federally recognized tribe can receive prescription expense assistance at any I.H.S. facility.

The CASSP Dental Van provides dental care to under-served children 0 up until their 22nd birthday who meet the following requirements: Do not have a current dental home Have not seen a dentist in 2 years or more in the Aberdeen Area No child is turned away for inability to pay These children are those with the highest need for dental care and have the least amount of resources. This mobile dental unit provides preventive, diagnostic, and restorative services. No child is turned away for inability to pay. However, if their family or guardian have any type of dental insurance, it will be billed by the Delta Dental Mobile Program. An adult must accompany any child seen for dental care as consent must be given for the staff to work with the child. The Dental Van is a mobile unit that travels to communities around the state. This van is in Aberdeen only on specified dates which varies year by year.

Delta Dental's mobile truck provides quality care to children from first tooth through age 21 who can't afford or access a dentist. Service is provided at no cost to the family, and no insurance is necessary. The Mobile truck is scheduled to visit Madison, SD on Monday, June 10 - Friday, June 14, 2024 and Flandreau, SD on Monday, July 22 - Friday, July 26, 2024.
Falls Community Health is a family practice medical clinic and dental clinic with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. The Community Health Center was established in 1979 with its goal being to remove the barriers, primarily financial, that exist and limit the access of lower income individuals or families seeking primary health care services.  ​Services for the general public include family health, lab radiology, well-child care, immunizations, family planning (including birth control, STD screening and treatment), patient education, diabetes care, and dental care. Services for established clinic patients include outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling, psychiatry services, transportation assistance (transporter of last resort), and pharmacy assistance to clients of the Falls Community Health Care Clinic.

The Ryan White Part C program helps HIV positive people who live in Eastern SD to access primary health care. All patients who apply for the Part C Program will have access to case management services. The case managers help people with HIV/AIDS find services they need such as medical care, health insurance assistance, assistance with paying for medications, financial help, food/nutrition assistance, housing, referral to substance use treatment programs and/or mental health services, transportation, and other types of services. The Part C Program is a payer of last resort. Patients that are eligible for compensation through other programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or private health insurance, must first access assistance through those programs. Funds are available to assist with primary care, lab testing, emergency prescriptions, outpatient mental health therapy, outpatient substance abuse treatment, dental care, transportation, outpatient nutritional services, and medical and non-medical case management. Other services include nurse case management, social work case management services, and HIV testing.

Through its community-wide fundraising efforts, the Capital Area United Way helps to support 35 programs and services offered through 16 local United Way funded agencies. Supports Community Impact Programs that help improve the lives of people affected by issues such as health, income and education. Programs include Girls on the Run/Girls on Track serves girls in 3-8th grade and helps prepare them for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Imagination Library provides free books to children, ages 0-5, who reside in Hughes and Stanley counties. Mobile Dental Program helps children who don't have access to dental care. Project H.E.R.O. provides milk tickets and emergency transportation tickets to students to ensure they are healthy and able to get to school on time, and ready to learn; and the Lion's Club Vision Screening. Serves as a connecting place for volunteer opportunities. Agencies share that information through a publication in the paper called Volunteer Connections, as well as in the high school newspaper. Also, helps connects groups looking for a project with agencies needing volunteers.
