Have not seen a dentist in 2 years or more in the Aberdeen Area
No child is turned away for inability to pay
These children are those with the highest need for dental care and have the least amount of resources. This mobile dental unit provides preventive, diagnostic, and restorative services. No child is turned away for inability to pay. However, if their family or guardian have any type of dental insurance, it will be billed by the Delta Dental Mobile Program. The Ryan White Part C program helps HIV positive people who live in Eastern SD to access primary health care. All patients who apply for the Part C Program will have access to case management services. The case managers help people with HIV/AIDS find services they need such as medical care, health insurance assistance, assistance with paying for medications, financial help, food/nutrition assistance, housing, referral to substance use treatment programs and/or mental health services, transportation, and other types of services. The Part C Program is a payer of last resort. Patients that are eligible for compensation through other programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or private health insurance, must first access assistance through those programs.
Funds are available to assist with primary care, lab testing, emergency prescriptions, outpatient mental health therapy, outpatient substance abuse treatment, dental care, transportation, outpatient nutritional services, and medical and non-medical case management.

Imagination Library provides free books to children, ages 0-5, who reside in Hughes and Stanley counties. Mobile Dental Program helps children who don't have access to dental care. Project H.E.R.O. provides milk tickets and emergency transportation tickets to students to ensure they are healthy and able to get to school on time, and ready to learn; and the Lion's Club Vision Screening.
