NAMI Homefront provides a free online suite of mental health resources for caregivers, family members, military service members and veterans. These resources are meant to educate and empower the military community in their journey towards mental health recovery and overall well-being.

Provides a supportive and affirming environment to address LGBTQ-related stress, depression, and anxiety. Participants engage in sessions to learn coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and connect with peers. The program is hybrid, offering both in-person and virtual options, and is facilitated by trained professionals. A screening process ensures participants are a good fit, with an emphasis on readiness and safety. Sessions focus on topics such as mindfulness, cognitive flexibility, and emotional regulation, fostering a pathway to mental wellness.

Crisis intervention, assessments, counseling, and case management services that help young people and their families overcome challenges and pave the way for an improved quality of life. Provides support to individuals suffering from mental health issues, alcohol and drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and crime victimization. Support is also provided to individuals struggling with personality development and relationship issues. An all volunteer organization which enables all families and other associated with an autistic, Asperger's or Pervasive Development Disorder to have access to support groups, meetings, and additional information and resources. Affiliate of the Autism Society of America. Services include support group meetings, summer sports camp, referral services, email support, and life skills support.

An inpatient alcohol, drug, and gambling treatment programs for adults. Care provided by: 24 hour nursing staff, a full-time psychologist, 24 hour on-call doctor, Certified chemical dependency counselors, and ASAM certified Addictionologists. Based on 12-step recovery model with medically monitored detoxification, Dual-diagnosis track with psychiatrist - For co-occurring disorders, diagnosis must be substance use primary and mental health secondary; Inpatient and outpatient gambling program with certified gambling counselors, Substance abuse, inhalant abuse and Methamphetamine treatment track (IMT), Chronic Pain Program, Medication Assisted Treatment - Different medications are available. Keystone utilizes Vivitrol and Naltrexone. May utilize Subutex and other medications to taper during medically monitored detoxification. Keystone does not utilize Methadone or Suboxone for maintenance. Unique services available are Native American cultural program (sweat lodge on site, talking circles, etc.), and a Spiritually based 12-step program. Veterans and retired military. Need to be referred through VA; able to take VA funding. Active duty military and dependents may utilize TRICARE West Insurance.

Peer based services and resources include online resources at DBSAlliance.org, online support groups, audio and video casts, parent and caregiver support network, advocacy for quality mental health care treatment, and peer specialist trainings. *Currently there are no in-person support groups in South Dakota, although online support groups are open to all.

Community-based counseling center that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Bereavement services for family members is also available. Readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military.
