The purpose of the Transition Assistance Advisor (TAA) program is to provide a professional to serve as the statewide point of contact to assist Service Members and Veterans in accessing Department of Veterans Affairs' health care services and benefits. Keystone utilizes Vivitrol and Naltrexone. May utilize Subutex and other medications to taper during medically monitored detoxification. Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) emergency assistance provides interest-free loans or grants to help stabilize a member's emergency financial situation based on the individuals needs such as: basic living expenses, vehicle expenses, funeral expenses, medical/dental, pet emergency surgery or treatment child care/respite, moving expenses, and miscellaneous expenses. Additionally, AFAS offers to active duty Air Force members only Falcon Loans of $500.00 or less that can be used for emergency needs such as basic living expenses, car repairs, or other approved needs. The streamlined application process for a Falcon Loan requires no budget information, or backup documentation. EMERGENCY TRAVEL - All emergency travel financial assistance required due to serious illness/death of an immediate family member, grandparent or other family relationship will be processed through the American Red Cross (ARC). Also, a referral service and can point Veterans in the right direction for any information they may need in terms of accessing benefits, enrolling in VA health care, etc. Specialty is helping Veterans readjust successfully into civilian life, and provides counseling for a wide range of problems, from mental health issues like PTSD, depression, and anxiety to life stressor issues such as work-related or relationship difficulties. Provides free bereavement counseling for loved ones of service members who died while on active duty or Veterans who died by suicide.
