The Great Plains Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office provides fish and wildlife management technical assistance to Native American Tribes and federal agencies including the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, Department of Defense and National Wildlife Refuges within South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. ​ SFACF invests and grows endowments that are used to make grants to important social, cultural and educational initiatives, provide scholarships to deserving young people, and support the activities of over 200 local nonprofits. Grants from the Community Fund are available to organizations in the Sioux Falls area seeking support for new ways to address community needs, expand successful programming, or build capacity. Grants are also considered for agencies undergoing a unique financial crisis or conducting community-wide studies. Scholarship Program - For those wrapping up a general equivalency diploma, graduating from high school, or working toward a graduate degree, SFACF offers a wide variety of competitive scholarship awards to help people achieve their goals. Applications are available annually on December 15. Most are due March 15.

The Arch provides recovery oriented programming that helps residents create client centered treatment plans to address their transition needs back into the community. Please note, prescription assistance is for those without insurance and it is for one time only! Personal care assistance is once in a calendar year.

Services include relationship counseling, non-medical counseling for stress relief, financial counseling, document translation, spouse scholarships, education and career benefits, child care options, PCS moves, and MSEP Job Search Navigator to assist military spouses find employment.

Glory House offers Remote Breath Testing. This is a personal breathalyzer machine that can be used in place of 24/7 or SCRAM. Remote breath testing allows for clients to complete testing in the comfort of their homes, while at work, or on vacation. It is completed based on 2x per day breathalyzers as well as random testing in between. Any person is allowed to use this program. If individuals are court ordered, the order will need to state they are approved to do services with Glory House. Online applications may be completed on the website.

Maintains court records of all types including civil, criminal, family, and probate; assists with jury trials; provides procedural information; accepts and records payments for filing fees, fines, court costs, and restitution. Also performs record searches and provides record reports upon request. Hartford Senior Nutrition Meals is for individuals age 60 or older, their spouse, and/or dependent adult living with the eligible participant. Meals are provided by The Wooden Nickel in Crooks.

• Congregate Dining: offered at the Senior Citizens building in Hartford Monday - Friday, serving time is at 11:30am.

Sign up is required for the meal. Need to call 605-941-1294 by 5:30pm the day before the meal to sign up. Leave a message if no answer.

• Home Delivered Meals: offered in Hartford city limits Monday -Friday.

Individuals receiving home delivered meals choose what days they would like to receive the meals. To sign up for home delivered meals, call 605-941-1294. When on home delivered meals, will need to call and cancel meals if gone on scheduled day(s). Call 605-941-1294 to cancel. Activities: playing cards and watching television.

The County Veterans Service Officer assists veterans, dependents, and survivors by providing information, assistance, counseling, and referrals on a wide range of subject, benefits, and veteran programs. CVSO's are trained to provide information on the following topics - Offers complete claims service and explanation of VA procedures. Provides follow-up service once a decision has been made. Also offers GI loans, Compensation and pension, Survivors benefits, Education benefits, On-the-job and apprenticeship training, State benefits, Social Security benefits, Small business development information, Corrections of military records, Review of discharges, Medical and dental treatment, Nursing home care, Residency at the State Veterans' Home, Rehabilitation, Burial benefits, Obtaining flags, and Information on community programs. Veterans are encouraged to register their discharge information (DD Form 214, Report of Separation) with the County Registrar of Deeds Office.

Accepts residential household waste, electronics for recycling, and grass/leaves waste (no branches). All loads to the landfill must be covered and secured per state and county regulations. Different material types are to placed in designated places at the landfill.
