Eligible participants may receive a voucher, which is used to purchase garden seeds and/or live plants which helps to ensure that the participating households have access to fresh fruits and vegetables, which helps them to maintain nutritional well-being. If funding allows, the participants can also purchase canning or preserving supplies so that they can save some of the produce for use in future months.
Assists individuals and families with rental assistance, utility assistance, prescription assistance, rooms, meals, bus tickets, and gas for transients, and clothing, household, and furniture vouchers for the thrift store.

ICAP Housing Services provides the following programs: ​Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program: aims to help two specific groups - persons who are at great risk of homelessness and those who have become homeless. Services that can be provided include case management, security deposit and rent assistance. These services are aimed at helping participants to retain their housing, therefore avoiding homelessness, or to re-enter appropriate permanent housing as quickly as possible. Housing Repair / Rehabilitation: Provides a zero-interest, five-year decreasing balance loan for eligible homeowners to be used for accessibility modifications for persons with disabilities, in addition to making necessary repairs for health, safety and code compliance. Self-Help Housing Rehabilitation: Eligible participants will work with program staff to identify their specific needs and to create a work plan. The Program Coordinator will find the best funding sources available to the homeowners and assist them throughout the process. Weatherization and Furnace Replacement Program: Aimed at making housing for low-income persons more energy-efficient and less costly for the residents. The residence is audited and a list of needs is developed. The program provides the materials and pays contractors for the labor to weatherize the home (caulk cracks, insulate, weather-strip, fix windows, etc.). Furnaces can be repaired or replaced, if not repairable, through the program. In addition, some inefficient/high-cost non-operating appliances (range / refrigerator / water heater) can also be replaced in certain circumstances. Homeless Rent and Deposit: Helping homeless households get into housing. Must provide steady and reliable source of income. Applicant must agree to case management services.

Patients can set up a payment plan by calling Patient Financial Services. Sanford Health also offers Financial Assistance for emergency and other medically necessary services provided and billed through centralized Patient Financial Services. Patients can call to request an application, or can visit the registration representative at the clinic or hospital and they will be able to provide an application. The patient will need to return the application completed in its entirety along with: Copy of most recent complete tax return, including all schedules. Copies of the two most recent pay stubs for each wage earner in the household. Copies of property tax assessment statements Applications will be reviewed and a decision will be communicated within 30 days. All information is confidential. Sanford has an extensive financial assistance policy. A copy of the policy is available through Sanford's website or by calling.
Provides free commercial flights to children in need of life-saving medical care not found in their local communities. Also provides Service Dog flights for individuals of all ages for the purposes of initial pick up/retrieval of trained service dogs and to allow them the ability to attend required training sessions.
DAV supports ill, injured wounded veterans, surviving spouses, and their families during times of great need in the aftermath of isolated/large scale disasters.

Eligibility is determined by income, resources, and household size. Lost, stolen, or damaged EBT (SNAP) cards must call customer service to report the loss of your card. You will need to enter the card number. If you do not have the card, stay on the line for a second prompt and press 2. Reporting an EBT card as lost, stolen, or damaged will result in that card being declined.
Provides necessary dental care at no cost to youth ages 0 - 21. The Watertown Area United Way sponsors a one week visit in the summer and provides funding for the fall visit.
Collects and distributes dysphagia supplies to individuals in need, establish a dysphagia awareness advocacy program, provide education services relating to appropriate prescription and use of dysphagia supplies, and assist in establishing a network of interconnected dysphagia support groups across the country. The food pantry provides modified foods for individuals with dysphagia, such as: thickened foods and liquids, oral care supplies, and assistive equipment. The food pantry is available to all 50 states. Income qualifications apply.

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation offers a variety of admission options for purchasing swim passes, whether you need a one-day pass or a swim pass for an entire year. Renewing a swim pass: Keep your key fobs from year to year, as key fobs can be renewed each year. Replacements of a lost key fob are available for $3.00 at the Midco Aquatic Center. Online renewal available online (for full price passes). To purchase a new season swim pass: Create an online account OR Visit the Midco Aquatic Center or an open outdoor aquatic facility to have photos taken of immediate family members for key fobs. Free or reduced priced swim passes: Summer season (May - August) are available for qualified families (immediate family members living in the same household, including youth age 18 and younger, stepchildren or foster children. Only two people over the age of 18 in the household can be on the swim pass) who are residents of Sioux Falls currently enrolled i the SNAP program (food stamps). If you qualify for a reduced or free pass, you must visit the Midco Aquatic Center or outdoor aquatic facilities and provide qualifying documentation, which includes: Photo ID Dakota EBT card (food stamp card) Proof of residence/physical address (must contain your name and current address). Examples include utility bill, credit card statement, pay stub/earnings statement, rent receipt, phone bill, tax document, transcript from an accredited school, bank statement, or any other certified mail. If a Sioux Falls resident presents an EBT or Medicaid card, their immediate family can get in for $1.00/person.

Information & Referral - Available to help point people to programs who could help (i.e.. CHIP, TANF, etc.). Low Income Organizing - Community Action Teams are volunteers organizing people to help themselves and others in the community. Prisoner Support Group - Activities are held for family support and monthly South Dakota Prison events. Youth Recreation - Swim passes and scholarships for camps, or other youth recreation activities. Available activity depends on site location. Children must be income eligible. VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Navigators - Available during tax season.

Individuals can become Master Gardeners by attending a series of training sessions related to horticulture with the understanding they will give back at least 40 hours of volunteer time in the form of Educational Outreach, Service, or Support Activities. A state agency that helps individuals with disabilities to gain and maintain compatible employment in an area of their choice. Some of the available services include vocational counseling and guidance, vocational assessments, training opportunities, on-the-job training, work site accommodations, and job placement services. Services and programs include Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Independent Living services, Telecommunications Adaptive Devices (TAD), Deaf Services, and Assistive Daily Living Services (ADLS). The Mitchell office only provides Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Voc. Rehab Counselors can make referrals to the above services and programs if clients reside in the Mitchell area.

Provides assistance for those in the Whitewood area only (cannot assist individuals from Spearfish or other areas). American's with Disabilities Act: Serves as educators and consultants for contractors, businesses, organizations, and individuals regarding the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its guidelines and requirements. Assistive Daily Living Services: Provides services for people ages 18 and older, with physical disabilities affecting all four limbs, who need assistance with daily living activities. Services include program education and support and personal attendant services. ​Money Follows the Person: Provides options for older adults and/or people with disabilities living in nursing homes, hospitals, or long-term care facilities to enable them to successfully return to their homes and communities. Helps individuals identify barriers to living on their own, helps them find a place to live that meets their needs, and helps them find the services and supports they need to continue living independently.
